"I cannot understand why more isn't being done to save this beautiful area and more importantly people's homes and livelihoods. When there's just been an announcement that people are to be given money if they stop smoking; please......when are they going to get their priorities right? when it's too late?"

"I love the Norfolk coast. I have visited some part of Norfolk every year since 1976. I cannot understand why this government will help anyone and everyone abroad but when it comes to repairing this beautiful Island of ours they turn a blind eye and make some kind of nonsensical statement. They should take heed of these words from the great William Shakespeare :- ”This royal throne of kings, this sceptered isle, This earth of majesty, this seat of Mars, This other Eden, demi-Paradise, This fortress built by Nature for herself, Against infection and the hand of war, This happy breed of men, this little world, This precious stone set in the silver sea, Which serves it in the office of a wall, Or as a moat defensive to a house, Against the envy of less happier lands, This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this ENGLAND. Happisburgh is a special place, in a special county, worth saving."

"I have just visited Happisburgh while on holiday in Norfolk. I was very shocked to see the extent of the coastal erosion. I am amazed that so little is being done to help the community. I say to the powers that be, what would YOU do if YOU lived there and YOUR HOME, and everything you have worked for was being destroyed. "

"Having visited this beautiful part of Norfolk for the first time yesterday I cannot believe that so little is being done to help this village and the landscape. It's a national scandal we should all be made aware of"

"Such a lovely village. My parents lived there for many years and my father is buried in the churchyard. I would hate to see it washed away like the original village. We must save our coastline."
