"Happisburgh was my favourite beach when I was a child. At that time, the lighthouse was two large fields away from the cliffs. Visiting last weekend, nearly fifty years on, I'm truly shocked to see the the erosion on Beach Road and how close the lighthouse now is to the sea. The lighthouse was recently voted the most favourite example of seaside architecture in a national poll by 'Heritage Today' magazine. It and the rest of the village must be saved!!"
