"How can the government even contemplate a move that will leave people destitute. They worry about human rights in other countries but what about us. There is always money for things that they want to do like bailing out Northern Rock, ID cards, compyters for the NHS, cameras to catch out motorists. Where are your priorities when it comes to destroying peoples lives through inertia and lack of foresight. They rush into other countries but leave their own people to sink or swim. How can they sleep at night?"
