CCAG Newsletter - 05 June 2004

It’s been far too long since we managed to get a newsletter out, but we’ve finally got it working again!

Since the last newsletter, the website www.happisburgh.org.uk has had an overhaul. In addition to revised layout and navigation, it makes maintaining the site less of a headache, and should result in fewer broken links. Please let us have any comments or feedback you might have so we can endeavour to improve it further.

The coming of summer means that owners of properties at risk at the end of Beach Road can enjoy a few months reprieve, until the winter storms recommence later in the year.

Much has happened since the last newsletter including the publishing of several reports, and the Landmark East competition. We have commented on what we can on the website, but some of what happens is confidential and we have not been able to publicise. Rest assured that work is continuing to secure Happisburgh’s future although much is ‘behind the scenes’.

What we can talk about is that a company has been set up to raise funds for defences at Happisburgh, and the trustees are currently applying for Charity status. In the mean time, the company has produced a leaflet and is attending local events. A website has been launched www.buyarockforhappisburgh.com and many other developments are in the pipeline. We will report as soon as there is news.
