CCAG Newsletter - 04 January 2003
The lifeboat ramp now lost completely, we now have to travel by road to launch thus incurring 15-20 minute delay. Lives now at considerably more risk.
When the ramp is gone erosion will proceed apace placing the Lifeboat Station and Coastguard Station at immediate risk. The mini scheme being put in place by N.N.D.C. is, at best, a short term measure. Family homes and businesses remain in immediate danger !
We are currently organising a public meeting to take place , hopefully , on 30th January with all relevant authorities in attendance. This date is extremely significant as it is the 50th anniversary of the 1953 disaster in this area when the sea claimed many lives. As soon as we have confirmation it will be posted on the website.
More pictures are now the site on showing the collapsed ramp etc, and are being added all the time. Don't forget to use the Forum on our site for your questions no matter what they may be we will do our best to answer them all.
Thanks for your continued support and we wish you a very happy, healthy and safe New Year.
